Val Sanford Certified English Instructor – Trained in Ontario, Texas and Germany, and specializing in dressage, Val brings a lifelong desire to learn and dedication to each student as the “whole”. We welcome riders of all levels, from those brand new to the sport to those with many years of experience. Val loves to work with adults returning to the sport to allow them a confidence-building environment.
Several Additional Instructors regularly attend, including Wendy Walker and Jenifer Parks. We are also developing new Instructors; building for the future. Rider Level Testing is facilitated and performed at our stable. Next test dates are September 2025, and spring 2026.
Our riding school offers a comprehensive approach to learning horsemanship and riding skills. With a focus on safety, skill development, and a love for horses, we provide a nurturing environment where riders of all ages and levels can thrive.
We enjoy excellent footing in our four out-door sand riding rings: a 60 foot round pen, a 100 x 120 training pen, an International size Dressage arena, a 100 by 300 foot jumping arena, a 1/3 mile training track with hills and a 70 x 148 foot indoor riding arena. We have 11 separate paddock and pasture options for the unique needs of your equine buddy. A heated barn makes it comfortable to prepare your horse for riding but riders are welcome to prepare their horses in indoor arena as well.
Our horses are the heart and soul of our riding stable. Each horse is carefully selected for their temperament, training, and suitability to help riders of all levels. With a variety of breeds and sizes, we offer a range of horses to suit every rider’s needs and preferences.
Located a few short minutes southeast of Saskatoon, we are just enough into the country but a nice short drive to arrive at the stables!
